No Search results on search engines

Hi,
I have promoted the website that I have created but when I search on Google, Bing & Yahoo I do not get any results for the website.
I promoted the site about 3 weeks ago and have done various PING tests since then but still can't get any results.
Please can you advise what needs to be done?
