Alias

Hello,

I'm building a new website on altervista and I have a problem in configuring the alias on my GMAIL account.
When I try to do it, I get the following error:

"Gmail couldn't identify your POP server. Please enter your POP server information below."

POP server : mail.altervista.org
Port: 110

The POP server is automatically shown, and I really don't know what else i could write. Any search on Google about the problem didn't help me.

If someone can help me in this frum, I will appreciated it.

Emails sent to the alias are simply forwarded to the account's address. So there is no pop or smtp server to connect to.

If you want to send emails from your alias address you have to configure you Gmail account as explained here.
