Default Permissions problem - wrong USER on my directory!

    Hi

I cannot change a directory on my website because its owner is not me!

Directory "install - drwxr-xr-x" is owned by user 48... Which is obviously not me. Without root permission I can't do anything to change this. I have no idea how it happened, but clearly it's not right. Any advice?

Good question. I uploaded a tar.gz file containing a full set of web pages (made using WebsiteBaker CMS). But the ownership and permissions of the "install" directory were the same as all the others on the original server, so I can't explain how the ownership of just that directory got changed on the altervista server.

Whatever, this should not have happened! I've never known anything like it before.

    Thanks for fixing it.
