Switching to altersite

Hi,
what I want to do is to modify my theme source code, but the problem is that I can't until I switch to AlterSite. So my question is: will I keep all my Wordpress settings and articles when switching from alterblog to altersite?

You should not modify source code because update will remove modification.
Some altervista's theme are in protected folders and you can't modify.
