Default Running local PHP files with Wordpress Managed install

    Hi,

I would like to use the duplicator plugin with my Wordpress Managed install

I have uploaded the archive and installer.php files via FTP to the website root

However when navigating to mywebsite/installer.php I get 404 not found

I beleive that altervista prevents access to php files outside of the wordpress theme

    Please advise

    Thanks

    Andy

I suggest you use the native WordPress tool to transfer the information, from Tools -> Import/Export.
You can also use an FTP connection to transfer files. To enable FTP, go to Tools -> FTP, but please note that it only applies to the 'wp-content' folder.

If you want to manage directly all the PHP files, you have to use the original version of WordPress using the "hosting with file manager" account.
You can find more information on the differences between accounts here: https://en.altervista.org/crea-sito-gratis.php

    Bye!
