FTP Error 530

When I automatically connect to my Altervista website through FTP, I get this message: "530 Authentication failed. Your nickname must be lower case and your host ftp.yournickname.altervista.org , go to https://en.altervista.org to recover your password. If you have a Blog remember to activate FTP service."

No issue, when I copy paste the exactly same information from Altervista instead of using the automatical login. I use FileZilla and my website has been converted to hosting. I haven't experienced this issue with Altervista or other than Altervista websites before.

So the problem is related to the "site manager" section, right?
Are you trying with these settings? (replace username and password)

If the problem persists, try to reset the FTP password.
