How To Enable Directory Browsing

I tried adding the following line to the .htaccess file in the directory in question, but it didn't work.

Options +Indexes

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

OK, thanks for the reply. Please note my request for this capability. I'd actually prefer if it were available as a check box on the folder, rather than requiring the configuration string
