Default index page problem using Dreamweaver for FTP

Hi - I'm using Dreamweaver to build an altervista.org website. The index page shows up online, but only with /index.htm added to the altervista.org address.
Any ideas why, and how I solve the issue?
    Thanks

index.htm is the home page (the main page): you should link the pages with a menu.

    What are the other pages?

    Bye!

Thanks, but I know it's the main page. At the moment it's the ONLY page, but it only shows up if you add /index.htm to the altervista.org part of the address..!
    As in: www.drelwyndavies.altervista.org/index.htm
Leave off the /index.htm and you just get the altervista.org 'build your website' page..!!

Did you try cleaning your browser cache?

It's because of your browser's cache.

    Bye!
