Accidentally wiped my AlterSite to create WordPress, need new database
Any help is appreciated here.
I have been using AlterVista for two years now to manage online high scores of various game apps I have created. I made the mistake of clicking the button that would generate a new WordPress blog, which ended up wiping everything.
I had a WordPress prior to this event, which I had long since lost access to. I'm happy to see the previous blogs gone, but I want to rebuild the databases I had for my old games, just to get the structure back.
There are no obvious options to create a new database on my AlterVista account as it presently stands. If I need to kill it and create a new account, so be it. But I would like to exhaust all other options first.
If you need the database access, you'll need the "Hosting with file manager" option.
Since your account is not new, you'll need to delete it first and then create a new one.
You can also install the original WordPress with the "Hosting with file manager" account, but you'll need to take the installer from the original WordPress website.
Note that the Original WordPress needs to be configured at least for HTTPS and Privacy Policy. In the Italian forum there is a section how to set WordPress in HTTPS: here (last paragraph).
