Pointing godaddy domain to Altervista site

Hello - i have purchased a domain name from godaddy.com. Can you please advise on how I may be able to redirect this domain name to my altervista website - p2phpb.altervista.org

Also can i ensure that the web browser will consistently display my domain name and not the altervisa.org url? Your help is much appreciated

you can use a redirect service in order to redirect your domain to p2phpb.altervista.org but no vhost service is currently supported (not yet), so you cannot eliminate altervista.org from your url unless your redirect service supports url cloaking.
