can't restore archived site: no control panel

Has the URL for accessing the control panel changed?

We received mail from altervista on Tues 23 Jan,
advising that our site had been archived,
but that we could recover it
"by following the instructions that you can find in your control panel."

The email says we can do this within 30 days.
The FAQ says it must be done within 15 days.

But we can't log in to the control panel.
We used to do this via
graceofdog.altervista.org/wp-login.php
Now that gives error 404.

(That was yesterday, 14 days after the email).

How do we get to the control panel to restore the site?
Or do we need to re-apply for the site?

That isn't the control panel, that's the WordPress admin panel. You can login to the AlterVista control panel using the login button on the main AlterVista page.

Thanks, Karl94, but I'd already tried that; the only option it gives me is to logout.

It gives me a window panel headed "Personal Messages" (there is a single message
from 20/12/2016 about the new Terms of Service);
Top Right there is my userid (icon and name) on a black drop-down menu;
the only item on that drop-down menu is "Logout".

There is a generic footer ("Disclaimer | About Us | Privacy | Service conditions| Contacts").

There is nothing about restoring the site. That's how it's been since Tues 6th/2.

I simply want to know how to retrieve files that have been archived. My entire site has been archived. I need these files that made that web site. I've been offline for 3 months or more I had no idea this is happening I need those files can you help me anyone

According to 10.3 point of ToS:

This copy can be restored from the account control panel of the Hosted Site by the User for 30 days following the sending of the notification of the filing calls from Altervista User via e-mail.

So, after 30 days you can't restore the site.
