Welcome to Altervista placeholder even after uploading files

I uploaded the phpBB files via ftp but when i try access my website I'm greeted by Welcom to Altervista screen not my phpBB forum i uploaded. Oddly enough when i add /index.php to the address the forum loads in.
What am i doing wrong??

http://mannix.altervista.org - Welcome screen
https://mannix.altervista.org works but adds a bunch of /index.php to the address
https://mannix.altervista.org/index.php works fine

Nah, you aren't stupid. You simply didn't know the priorities of extensions set on AlterVista.
