    Default 'Privacy error'

    Your connection is not private

    NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

    Under 'Advanced' it says that the security certificate is from another site.

    My issue has been resolved, but be advised that this may happen with other accounts, as it appears to be a common problem with various webhosts right now.

    Did you have enabled the HTTPS connection?

    Bye!

    No, as I mentioned in my follow up reply, my issue resolved, so I didn't do anything. Should that be done to avoid it from happening again? This would also be good to know for other accounts having the same problem.

    I just found out that it should. Thanks, alemoppo.

    Well, now there is another problem. In order to enable HTTPS, you have to complete the identification by SMS. I tried my number several times, didn't receive the code, then I tried my sisters number and finally my boyfriends. None of the phones received the code. Then, because I tried the different numbers, I eventually got this: 'You reached the maximum number of tries. Retry tomorrow.'

    If the code never arrives, then what?

    Hello midnightrendezvous,

    Please verify that you are allowed to send SMS to Italy.
    Anyway, is the account on which to activate HTTPS "midnightrendezvous"?

    Bye!

    Hi alemoppo,

    Yes, they said I can to any place in the world where it's available. And yes, my account is midnightrendezvous.

    Also, just to let you know, I'm part of a group that joins and/or runs fanlisting sites (basically online fan clubs) who also have accounts with altervista, and I've already heard several of those members talk about how they didn't receive a code, either.

    Could you please provide the telephone number? (omit last 3 digits).

    Bye!
