My session keeps timing out and logging me out of my site, can I get an increase?

I have a PHP site that requires an import while logged into my website which lasts several hours. The problem is altervista keeps logging me out before it is finished which aborts the "import". Can I increase the session time temporarily or for the admin user for my website so that I can finish the "import" process?

What kind of import are you trying to do? From what does AlterVista log you out? Please explain further.
