TXT Files automatically converted to UNIX format!

Help, I can read plain txt files fine from the site in my browser window, but when I try to download them they are all smashed together on one line. I know this is because windows has a different format for the ends of lines than linux. But there has to be some way to turn this automatic conversion off.

If you are downloading .txt files whe webserver shouldn't apply any alteration to the content.

If you are uploading using FTP you should check for ASCII mode during the transfer
