FTP Suddenly Stopped Working?

I've never had this problem before but suddenly when I was using FTP (with FileZilla), it stopped working.

"Response: 530 Authentication failed. Your nickname must be lower case and your host yournickname.altervista.org , go to http://www.altervista.org to recover your password. Remember that AlterBlog, AlterForum and AlterGallery don't have FTP access."

I'm unable to get it working, why is this? I'm using an Altervista site (hosting) and didn't change anything other than just having FTP randomly stop connecting for me. I'm currently forced to use the Filer Manager on the admin panel.
