Help please with my site

Hi, I have created my site as a website not a blog. However when I click on one of the photos on my site it goes to a page with the photo and then a box asking to leave a reply (see below)
This isn't something I've created - can I remove this??

Hello, you can disabile the comments from Settings -> Discussion.
For existing articles, you should disable them from Posts -> All Posts -> Quick Edit and unselect "Allow Comments".

Hi, thanks for your help, however I've tried both of these options but when i go back in the site and click on a photo on a page it still shows a comment box under the image - any other ideas?

To disable the comments on the media files:

Media -> Library -> Edit (of the media) -> Uncheck "Allow comments" on the "Discussion" box. If you can't see the discussion box, on the top of the page click on "Screen Options" and enable it.
