WordPress plugin requesting data from another domain

I have a WordPress plugin: Bible verse of the Day. This plugin requests a daily Bible verse from the domain dailyverses.net. It gives the following error: Destination host forbidden, unlock the connection from your Altervista control panel. See: https://dailyverses.altervista.org/.

This error even appears after allowing 'server to server' for all domains. If I change the url inside the plugin to one that is whitelisted, the connection works.

Can dailyverses.net be whitelisted?

Did you wait 30 minutes after unlock the whitelist? Does the error persist??

It works now, but not after 30 minutes. It started to work after about 5 hours. I am the owner of dailyverses.net and the plugin, I tested this for someone who has trouble using my plugin.

Can you whitelist my domain 'dailyverses.net' to make sure this works directly for all users of my plugin?

On the (popular) website there is a daily Bible verse, random Bible verse and Bible verses by topic. Everything is available in 12 different languages. The plugin allows people to show the daily Bible verse or a random Bible verse on a WordPress website.

The plugin has 5000+ active installations (over 5000 people who think it's a useful service). The plugin is primarily used by christian bloggers and churches.
