My AlterVista site was recently "disabled for inactivity." How do I get it active again? I don't see any reactivation link, as suggested in your FAQ: "Click on the reactivation link in the main page or in the file manager page." I did find a "restore" link-using the last backup, which I used, but my site is still not active. I understand I only have 15 days to fix this - so how can I get my site active again? My username is sugargliderfigurines; my website is (was) frostenterprises.com. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
To clarify, my page here at AlterVista is: greenparrotsoaps.altervista.org. IOW, if a customer wants to go to my page, they type in frostenterprises.com, which re-directs to the greenparrotsoaps.altervista.org page.
I got that part figured out; I wasn't forwarding correctly. I have a new problem now, though: my pictures don't show up any more. It is because the site is https now instead of HTTP, but I don't know how to resolve the issue. If I go back to HTTP, users will get a "warning" when they go to my page (forwarded from GoDaddy.) How do I turn my images into https images?
Hello,
your site is provided in both modalities: http and https (note that a browser could force to https automatically some times).
If you want to force HTTPS, you should use a .htaccess to redirect to https.
