Updating download counters with PHP

Hi,

I'm having issues trying to update download counters with PHP, where I'm being denied write access to existing files (simple .counter files with a number in them), so I have no way of updating them. Any ideas how I can enabled this, or if there's a specific way of doing this that works with altervista?

Never mind, it seems to have started working of its own accord, I guess either someone fixed it or I was doing something silly XD
